Software Sales Manager, Federal Civilian Market in Sterling, Virginia

Position Summary
TerraGo, a leading provider of global location intelligence solutions, is looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Software Sales Manager to drive revenue growth in the Federal Civilian Market.  The Software Sales Manager will be responsible for delivering revenue and exceeding sales targets through a combination of direct and channel selling activities within Federal Civilian Agencies (DHS, DOJ, DOE, USGS,USDA). The Software Sales Manager duties will also include the fostering and development of customer relationships and the creation of strategic plans for building new business. This position will report to the Vice President of Sales.
Responsibilities
Develop and implement sales strategy to grow Federal Civilian accounts
Source, manage and close new business from both existing clients and prospects
Renew existing support and maintenance agreements within portfolio
Grow pipeline to achieve monthly, quarterly and annual quota objectives
Establish strong customer relationships and coordinate TerraGo?s technical and business engagements with key accounts
Work closely with channel partners to generate new opportunities in territory
Acquire in-depth knowledge of TerraGo products and technology and develop robust understanding of competitors products and services
Provide accurate sales forecasts and maintain detailed account records in CRM system
 Requirements
Minimum 5+ years selling software with a demonstrated track record of success in a quota-carrying role
Demonstrated ability to meet revenue targets and to generate new and existing business with customers
Geospatial industry experience with knowledge of relevant technology initiatives and applications within defined markets
Sales experience and existing relationships in the Federal Civilian market
Strong analytical skills
Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to participate and/or deliver presentations to technical and high-level individuals
Ability to travel up to 25% of the time
